This is my first Aprilskin product. I don't have much from this brand in my stash so I was very curious of this serum.
This serum is combining gentle exfoliation with deep hydration. Although it contains exfoliating ingredients it can be used everyday (even twice a day). Key ingredients are Glucanolactone (PHA), Lactic Acid (AHA), Glycolic Acid (AHA), 70% Calendula Flower Extract and 2% Hyaluronic Acid. It contains Bergamot Oil, but no Alcohol or fragrance/perfuming. The texture is light, but feels tacky after application and takes some time to fully absorb. It has very strong scent of calendula flowers. If you ever smelled real calendulas with their suffocating scent, this is exactly how this serum smell.
My experience
This serum is advertised as shrinking pores one, showing even some studies and results on their website. This didn't happened to me. I used it twice a week and maybe it was to little to see the results but after almost finishing the whole bottle I don't see much difference in my skin texture. I like the lightweight texture of this serum, don't mind the scent but have a little trouble with its long absorbing time. I used it in the evening so it wasn't that much if a deal but still, I prefer fast absorbing products. Although I haven't seen my pores shrunk, everytime I used this serum my skin was soft and plump and clean.
Overall it's nice, not game changing but still good. It was nice to try it but I wouldn't buy this one again.
