Gifted by the go.picky app and Some by Mi in exchange for review
Some by Mi is such an uneven brand. There are pieces that I really like and thera are some (like this one), that are not my piece of cake (at all). Almost year ago, I recived it as a giveaway price from picky app. I reviewed it there, and now because I'm slowly and finally emptying it I update my old review with my newest thoughts.
This sunscreen is a hybrid one, containing Titanium Dioxide as a main physical sunscreen and also 4 chemical agents (Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Polysilicone-15 and Terephtyhalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid). The ingredient list is very long, but there are some key ingredients: Niacinamice, Tocopherol, Adenosine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Linoleic Acid, Ceramide NP, Panthelon and Bioflavonoids. It also contains Ascorbic Acid and Retinol. And this is actually a mistery to me, because both of these need sun protection when used daytime, so why putting them in a sunscreen? These were among last ingredients, so the amount is not very high, still I don't get it. This one contains also Alcohol and Fragrance, as well as some perfuming ingredients (Limonene and Linalool).
It has very light, runny texture, fluid-like. Despite fragrance and perfumes the scent is light, very subtle and kind of citrusy.
My experiance
I'll be straight here, I just don't like it. I had more issued with it than positive experiances. First, because it's physical sunscreen it gives me white-cast. But this one is just huge. You have to work your way to blend it entirely. And there unexpectedly it gives healthy, glowy look. Back then I wrote that I didn't need any foundation after this spf because of this nice look it gives you. But than again, it peels and makes my skin dry. Now I use it two, three times a week. I just want to finish it. And when my skin is properly hydrated it behaves really nice. But in my case it's not daily sunscreen and I can't reapply it.
Overall I guess it's just not for me. There're so many sunscreens on the market, so when there're so many issues it's just not worth it. I hate wastage, so I'll finish it but definitely won't repurchase.
