Bought with my own money
You all know I love exploring new brands. This cream was on sale at Stylevana and I haven't tried this brand before so heck I just went and bought it. And I'm happy I did to have some more knowlegde of Bonajour and their lines.
This cream is advertised as moisturizing cream for all skin types, that is all-in-one solution for exfoliation, sebum care and troubled skin care. The key ingredients are 75,68% of Eggplant Extract, which contains Lupeol, anti-inflammatory ingredient and 0,13% Willow Bark Extract, that contains natural BHA to remove dead cells and sebum. The brand also states in the package, that this one contains their special ingredient Dermatic AC3 and Dexpanthenol but they are not listed in the ingredient list. So I don't know whether it's combination of some stated ingredients or just pure marketing lie. Anyway, other worth mentioning ingredients are Panthenol, Arginine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Allantoin (-)-Alpha-Bisabolol. It's free of Alcohol and Fragrance but contains some Essential Oils (Rosewood Wood Oil). It has light, creamy texture and no scent. It comes in 50ml plastic tube.
My experiance
When I see BHA on the label, I instantly think of some strong exfoliants. This can be tricky and requires some label reading, because in this case there's no pure Salicylic Acid here but BHA comes from Willow Bark Extract. It is not as effective as SA when it comes to exfoliating and it's much more mild. So this cream is safe to use everyday by every skin types, as the amount of exfoliant is very low and not that effective. I used this cream in my evening routine couple of times a week. I like the texture that was light and scentless. This absorbs fast but it is one of the creams that doesn't fit in. It was too heavy for my morning routine but too light for the evening, leaving my skin oily in the morning. I dealt with it with additional moisturizer or mask on top of it but I don't like this solution as I prefer using one, solid moisturizer instead of two. I also didn't notice any improvement of my breakouts while using this cream, it was just good moisturizer and that's it.
Overall I think it overstated that this cream can be treated as exfoliating cream. It's just good moistruizer (but tricky one, requires you to find the best way to use it) but that's it. I like it, it was pleasant use but it wasn't any more than that.
