Bought with my own money
I'm a cleansing oil girl. So far I only used two cleansing balms, that was really popular back in the days. These were Heimish All Clean Balm and Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm. But after the whole year of cleansing oils (and other types of first cleansers) I finally decided to get back to balms. What's more, the expiration date of this particular balm was coming close so this was a perfect time to finally open it. And, yeah I'm glad I did, this was just perfect come back and now I want more balms!
Vita-Pumpkin Cleansing Balm is no longer available and was given to me by my skincare friend. This one is advertised as hypoallergenic cleanser, that fransforms from sherbet-like texture into smooth oil when applied onto skin. Pumpkin Extract and Vitamin ingredients deep-cleanses and mildly exfoliates without stripping the skin.
The main ingredients are: Pumpkin Fruit Extract, Jojoba Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil. This one is free of Alcohol, Essential Oils but does contain Fragrance (middle of the list) and some known comedogenic ingredients Ethylhexyl Palmitate and Retinyl Palmitate.
The texture is light orange in color and first very soft sherbet-like, that turns into oil when in contact with skin. It has very subtle, light scent, that reminds me more of cucumber than pumpkin and was barely noticeable. It comes in 100ml jar with spatula and inside cover.
My experiance
This was great come back to cleansing balms. This one emulsifies so easily, a few drops of water and here it is. Moreover, it takes all the make up away without an effort and it's so easy to wash off. It didn't irritate my eyes, which is always huge for me. Followed by foam cleanser, my skin was clean and soft after using this. The only thing I always had problem with (other balms too) is the amount of product. First it was too little, than probably too much, but I stayed using more because everytime I took out less, I felt it's wasn't enough. I ended up finishing this rather quickly (like month and a half) so it wasn't very efficient. Another thing is keeping it clean. Everytime you need to clean the spatula for the next use, so it's not the fastest way to clean up your skin. But it's not only this balm but all of them.
Overall I really enjoyed this balm. It cleanses all makeup fast and well, didn't irritate my eyes. But there's some things in balms I'm still need to get used to. I'll stay cleansing oil girl for now but I'm definitely picking my next balm soon.
