ANUA - Niacinamide 10% + THA 4% Serum

Gifted by go.picky app and Anua in exchange for review

I received this serum a month and half ago. I was struggling with post acne marks and dark spots so this was perfect opportunity to try this serum. I was obliged to write the review and I marked that one as a first impression, because I was only using it for about a week. But because the initial usage was very promising, I kept using it. Recently I finished this serum so this is an updated review, including my recent thoughts. Unfortunately it's not that prising as the previous one.

This serum is advertised as brightening serum, designed to promote the appearance of more even skin tone. It's suitable for all skin types, including acne-prone and sensitive. Key ingredients are: 10% Niacinamide, 4% Tranexamic Acid and 2% Arbutin. It also contains Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid, Alpha-Arbutin, Centella Asiatica Extract and many more goodies. It's free of Alcohol, Essential Oils and Fragrance. It has viscous texture with beautiful red color (some calls it pink) with no scent. It comes in 30ml glass bottle with dropper.

My experience

I was very pleased with this serum when I first got it. I remember using it for the first time and in the morning I had an impression that my dark spots are smaller. Probably it wasn't like that, maybe more of wishful thinking, but it really impressed me. So I decided to premanently add it to my routine. I've just finished it and I have quite different thoughts. First I still have the marks I had when first started using this serum. These are definitely lighter, less visible (especially when I put make up on) but they are still there. It feels like this serum is working but it needs more than 2 weeks (not like it was advertised). After 6 weeks my post acne marks are still there so some may say it doesn't work and there should be better resoults after finishing the whole bottle. I also don't like how long absorbing it is. Despite using it in my evening routine it kind of annoyed me that it takes that much time and leaving tacky feeling. I usually don't mind it when it comes to creams or masks as they are the very least product I use in my evening routine so when this one took so much time I got really impatient.

Overall I have trouble to properly rate this serum. I don't know how long it would take to heal my dark spots if I wasn't using this serum - probably longer. But still, I was hoping for better and quicker results. I guess it's working after all but still having the inintial marks after finishing the whole bottle makes me think it's not that effective.
