This is an updated review, that I initially posted on my Social Medias as a part of Affiliate program runned by Wishtrend. I hate wastage so my goal was to finish this ampoule before PAO so I've been using it recently and almost empty it.
This one is a propolis ampoule that comes from propolis line, containg essence and cream beside this one. I reviewed the cream here and I really liked it so was very eager to see how the serum behaves in long term. My initial review was very positive and I was very happy with the serum when I first tested it but it changed a little bit over time. So let's dive into my full review when this ampoule is almost empty.
This ampoule is advertised as helping to soothe troubled skin, that contains Houttuynia Cordata Extract as a base instead of water and 15% Propolis, which is rich in antioxidants. It protects skin against daily stressors, helping to nourish and revitalize the skin for smoother and more balanced appearance.
Let's talk ingredients. It list is not long, and the key ingredients are Houttuynia Cordata Extract and Propolis Extract. Other worth mentioning ingredients are: Sodium Hyaluronate, Witch Hazel Extract, Panthenol, Turmeric Root Extract, Lactobacillus Ferment, Betaine and Zinc Pca. It's free of Alcohol, Fragrance and Essential Oils. It has viscous texture and no scent. It comes in 30ml glass bottle with dropper.
My experience
It's been a while since I've been using propolis serums. Propolis works great for calming and healing my acne so during my past year big breakout I used a lot of propolis serums. I only tested this ocassionaly and it was fine back then but ultimately I focused on serums that had higher percentage of Propolis.
I got back to it because PAO was getting closer and I hate wastage so I added it to my evening routines just to add some skin barrier strenghtning product. And I was kind of let down by its behaviour. It was taking so long for this ampoule to fully absorb, leaving kinda tacky layer and not really working well with my other products. My moring routine is simple and quick so maybe it was the reason why this serum acted so well in the morning. In the evening I use more occlusive and rich products but still I prefer those that act fast without leaving any residue. So I was kinda suprised it acted that way, because I remember it was fine back whan I first used it. Also the propolis level is not very high in this one so I haven't really seen any improvement in my skin contidion when using this one.
Overall, I'm not sure what's changed. I wasn't testing it much more, because I only focused on trying to empty this one. But I was kinda let down it didn't work as I expected based on my previous experience so I'm not sure wheter I can recommend it or not. This was gifted but ultimately it's pretty expensive propolis ampoule compared to some other options. So if you really eager to try than go for it but if you want to use good, working Propolis Serum than I recommend Cosrx or Iunik ones. These worked so well for me!
