MAKE P:REM - Safe Me. Relief Moisture Cleansing Oil

Bought with my own money

This is my second encounter with make p:rem. Previously I tried their Sleeping Mask and while it had really good results on my skin, it has so many ingredients I wasn't fan of.

This cleansing oil along with cleansing foam were one of the most popular K-Beauty products for cleansing. I've always wanted to try them and finally I got the chance.

This cleansing oil is advertised as oil, that gently melts away makeup residue, blackheads and sebum with natural seed oils. Key ingredients in this one are 5 types of plant oils (Sunflower Seed Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil and Boswellia Carterii Oil) as well as Willow Bark Extract and Tocopherol. It's free of Alcohol, Essential Oils and Fragrance but contains Isopropyl Myristate, that is known for comedogenic properties. The INCI is short and contains only 14 ingredients. It has moderately thick but still runny texture with scent of oil, that reminds me of cooking oil. It comes in 210ml plastic bottle with pump.

My experience

I really like this oil. Starting from simple INCI, through light texture and effectiveness. It doesn't emulsify as much as other cleansing oils I've tried but it does it job perfectly. It removes all makeup effortlessly and it's easy to wash off without leaving any oily residue. It didn't irritate my eyes and didn't make them blurry. It leaves skin soft and clean without stripping or drying feeling. The only thing I don't like is the smell of oil, but it comes from natural oil as there's no fragrance.

Overall I think the hype around this cleanser was well deserved. It's not that popular now but I can see why it was back in the days. Simple INCI, good performace makes this one worth trying. If you can manage a litte weird scent and comendogenic ingredient this one is definitely worth trying!
