MARY & MAY - Centella Asiatica Serum

Bought with my own money

I love good soothing serum and Centella Asiatica is one of the ingredients that works so well for my skin. There are some serums with pure Centella, that gained some intrest in the past. Mosty known is Centella Asiatica from Skin1004. Why am I mentioning it? Because it confused me with its ingredients list and I described that in details in my review. I was very curious about this serum as it also claims to be purely Centella Asiatica one. And I was happy to see the full INCI one the package and also 95% Centella Asiatica Extract, which sound more likely than 100%.

This serum is advertised as calming and soothing one with high concentration of Centella Asiatica Extract to effectively reduce redness, strenghtning skin barrier to promote a healthier complexion. It contains 95% of Centella Asiatica Extract as key ingredients. And the whole INCI contains only of 7 ingredients. Arginine is also worth mentioning. It's free of Alcohol, Essential Oils and Fragrance. It has surprisingly viscous texture with no scent.

My experience

I really like this one. Despite viscous texture it becomes watery and fast absrobing in contact with skin. I also prefer it's scentless. I love adding soothing serum to my evening routines and this one works wonders combinded with my current Centellian24 Acnience evening moisturizer. It definitely helped to calm some of my breakouts and my acne heals faster. I love simple INCI and the fact that it really works.

This is one of the oldest releases from Mary & May and it's just normal that those doesn't get the same level of attraction and hype as the new ones. But this one is definitely worth gaining wider recognition as its soo good dupe to widely known Skin1004 Centella Ampoule.

Overall if you have a chance than get this one. It's such a gem! Highly recommed.
