FASCY LAB - Centella + Calming Cream

Bought with my own money

My Korean friend introduced me to the Fascy Lab brand. I hadn’t heard of it before, and I was eager to try it. This cream, in particular, caught my attention because of its solid ingredient list and the potential for good results. Here’s my review.

Fascy Lab advertises this cream as soothing, claiming it effectively reduces redness, irritation, and inflammation while providing light yet lasting moisture. It’s marketed as suitable for all skin types, especially those prone to sensitivity, dryness, or rosacea.

Let’s talk ingredients. The key ingredients are Centella Asiatica Extract and its components (Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid), Squalane, Tannin, and several botanical extracts (Tea Tree, Green Tea, Grapefruit, Chestnut). It’s free of Alcohol, Fragrance, and Essential Oils. The cream has no scent and feels like a very light, creamy texture. It comes in a 50ml plastic tube.

My experience

The first thing that misled me was the texture. With all the ingredients and the brand’s advertising, I thought this cream would be a perfect addition to my morning routine. Little did I know. Despite the light texture, this cream doesn’t absorb quickly. It took a lot of time to fully absorb, almost like it was sitting on top of my skin. As a result, I decided to move it to my evening routine. As the last step, it didn’t bother me as much, but still, this texture isn’t something I’d recommend for oily skin.

However, I continued using it because it gave me real results. I’ve written before about my cyclic breakouts, and I initially thought they were caused by stress or food. But it turned out they were hormonal. From time to time, my skin breaks out badly, and it takes a while to fully heal. I used this cream during those times, and I could really see a difference in the morning. My skin felt calmer and healed faster. So, I truly believe this cream works. That said, I am a bit sad that it’s more suitable for dry skin types because of the texture.

Overall, this cream is a great option if your skin is acne-prone or you’re looking to calm it down. Just keep in mind that, despite its light texture, it’s better suited for dry skin.
