DEAR, KLAIRS - Midnight Blue Calming Cream

Gifted by go.picky app and Dear, Klairs in exchange for reveiw

This cream was one of my first giveaway wins in Picky app. It's loved my many for its soothing properties and light texture. I tested it both in winter last year, when I got it and later it the summer. This is my updated review as I have just finished this cream.

This moisturizer is advertised as gentle cream, that instantly calms and soothes sensitive skin. One of the star ingredients and the reasone behind blue color is Guaiazulene, which is a natural component extracted from Chamomile Oil with powerful calming effects. Oher worth menioning ingredients are: Centella Asiatica Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Morus Alba Root Extract, several Peptides, Ceramide NP and Sodium Hyaluronate. It's free of Alcohol, Fragrance and Essential Oils. It has blue, light, creamy texture with no scent. There are several sizes on the market, mine is 30ml and comes in glass jar with spatula, but there's also 60ml plastic tube.

My experience

I do get why many people love this cream. I like the creamy but light texture and that it's scentless, the INCI is great but after finishing this whole jar I can't say it's really working for me. It suppose to soothe and calm inflammated skin but I haven't really noticed that. I'm also not fond of kinda tacky finish. It performs great on my dryier cheeks but stays tacky on my oily T-zone. This summer I got some sunburns on my face and this cream is suppose to help with that, but all I felt after putting it on my skin was stinging feeling. There was no instant calming I was hoping for.

Overall, I have mixed feelings. I don't like it because of tacky feeling but on the other hand I might not be the target since it was great on my dry cheeks. It also didn't work for my after sun redness. But many people love this one so maybe it's just not for me.
